Ryan Dunn was born in Margate in 1984 and now lives and works in London. He studied Multi-media Textile Design at Loughborough University (2006) before completing Masters Degrees in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins (2008) and Anthropology at UCL (2014).
Spanning collage, textiles and critical design, Dunn’s practice draws on his academic background to occupy a realm between the worlds of art, design and ethnography. His
work reconfigures and subverts imagery from our everyday domestic landscape – furniture, garments and adverts – to create strangely normal objects and compositions that explore society’s relationship with material culture.
